FRANZ, Gerard “Jerry” Carl, age 80 passed away July 2, 2016. Loving husband of Marcia for 33 years. Dear brother of Michael (Louise) and the late Dorothy (Michael Hurchick) and brother-in-law of John Jendza (Victoria Mobley) and the late Elaine (late Joseph). Leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jerry retired after 40 plus years of dedicated service from Ternstedt/Fisher Body GM. He worked in various capacities as part of their development in computer technology. Jerry also worked closely with Fr. Brian Chabala of St. Fabian Catholic Church on several building projects including their Elementary School addition. He was a very generous, helpful, caring, and friendly man who was always available to lend a hand and give support to those in need. Jerry will be dearly missed.

Visitation Friday 3pm-8pm with a 7pm Rosary Service at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Instate Saturday 10am until time of Funeral Mass 10:30am at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in his name.
