AKOURI, Sylvia Jane, age 80, entered eternal life on April 26, 2017. Loving wife of Fouad for 55 years. Devoted mother of John, Lyla, Jimmy (Karen), and Michael Akouri. Adored grandmother of Annabella, Jimmy Jr., and Angelina Akouri. Dear sister of Mary Bringer, Amelia Curis, Adele Abraham, the late Joseph Assaff, late Louis Assaff, late Anne Nader, and late Josephine David. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished.

Sylvia was a loyal and dedicated educator at Farmington Public Schools for over 20 years. She will be missed immensely by all who came into contact with her zeal for life.

Visitation Friday 2pm-9pm with a 7pm Prayer of Incense at St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church, 32765 Lyndon, Livonia, MI 48154. Instate Saturday 11:30am until time of Funeral Mass 12pm at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W. 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033. Memorial Contributions may be made to Father Solanus Capuchins, in her name.
