Robert Lloyd Proffitt, age 80, passed away August 1, 2017. Loving husband of Catherine for 60 years. Cherished father of Robert William (Michelle) Proffitt and Charisse Kim Proffitt. Devoted grandfather of Angel (Philip) Salatrik, Sheena (Kenneth) Spurlock, Michael Taber, and Kaila Wiktor. Caring great grandfather of Milo and Spencer Dupree and Fiala Salatrik. Dear brother of David (Carol) Proffitt.

Robert was born on February 23, 1937 to Louise Clara and David William Proffitt in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 33 years of dedicated service. Bob married the love of his life on June 8th, 1957 at Garden City Presbyterian Church.

Memorial Visitation Friday 2pm-8pm at McCabe Funeral Home: Canton Chapel, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 4517 Rufe Snow Drive, North Richland Hills, Texas, 76180 in Bob’s memory.
