Nami Hazneci, our sweet father, passed away peacefully March 12, 2018 in Florida just shy of his 91st birthday. He was born in Merzifon, Turkey to Mehmet Kazim and Ayse Remziye Hazneci. Nami was the youngest of two brothers (Salih Sami and Mahmut Hami) and a sister (Ruhat) whom he adored tremendously. Dad graduated with a Masters in chemical engineering and received many awards for his accomplishments. The biggest being awarded permanent residency to the USA after inventing a military part for the US government in the early 50’s. Dad is survived by his beloved son, Dr. Sina Hazneci (Catharine); his beloved daughter Rena Carleton (Bukk); beloved granddaughters Serra Vinograd (Alexander) and Alara Çerikçoglu (Justin); great grandson Mattias Nico Vinograd; and great granddaughter Olivia Noor Vinograd. The family will receive guests Saturday, March 24th, from 9:30-11:15am at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, Michigan 48334. His Burial Service will proceed at 12:00pm (noon) at Mount Hope Memorial Gardens, 17840 Middlebelt Road Livonia, Michigan 48152. A luncheon to follow.
