Lou E. Cudin

February 21, 1922 - August 28, 2018

 

Mr. Lou Edward Cudin passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born February 21, 1922 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada son of Innocente and Maria (nee: Cudini) Cudin.  On July 5, 1947 he was married to Emma Clare Baggio at St. Angela Catholic Church, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  They have made their home in Southfield since 1958.  He was very proud of his M.B.A. from Michigan State University.  Prior to his retirement in 2006 he had been employed with Midwest Acorn & Hexagon Enterprises as a manager/partner and engineer for many years.  He worked until he was 84 years old.

Mr. Cudin was a good man in every sense of the word.  He was a true family man, devoted to his wife and children.  One never heard him say a bad word about anyone, nor would he listen to it being said.  He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and gardening.  He especially loved his roses.

Mr. Cudin is survived by his loving wife of 71 years; Emma C. Cudin.  Dear father of John L. Cudin, Mary C. Cudin and Patricia A. (Scott) Hemphill.  Fond grandfather of Bradley A. Hemphill and Lauren Marie Hemphill.  Also survived by; Geno (the late Sandra) Baggio, Laurie & Andy Baggio-White, Richard & Sandy Baggio and their 3 children; Bailey, Keely and Brandon, Mary Jane & Tom Santo and their 2 children; Kassy and Sophia and Paul & Anthier Baggio.  Preceded in death by his son; Lou E. Cudin, Jr. parents, sister; Lee Burnie, and family members; Catherine & Edward Dogherty and Tino Baggio.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31st from 4:00–8:00 pm at the McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills.  At The Church of the Transfiguration, 25225 Code Rd., Southfield, a final visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1st at 10:00 am until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.  He will be laid to rest next to his son at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
