Anthony John Gramer passed away October 4, 2018 at the age of 70. He was the loving husband of Maria for 49 years; devoted father of Anthony Jr. (Sunshine); cherished grandpa of Brandon and Benjamin; caring brother of Susan (Jim) Siver and brother-in-law of John (Linda) Valmassoi; dear uncle of Lisa (Patrick) Callaghan and great uncle of Katie. Tony also leaves behind his beloved four-legged friend, Johnny Watson.

Tony graduated in 1965 from Western High School in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served two years during the Vietnam War. Soon after returning, Tony married Maria Valmassoi in 1970. Tony loved to travel and was a Dive Master who had been diving since 1977. He also enjoyed underwater videography and taking his classic cars to car shows. Tony retired from Ford Motor company after 39 years of dedication where he began his journey as an apprentice. He was a past president and active member of FERA (Ford Employee Recreation Association). Tony was also the treasurer and charge honor guard for the James Huard Chapter 267 Vietnam Veterans of America in Dearborn, MI. Although he was a proud Vietnam veteran, Tony’s family was most important to him. He will be missed dearly.

Tony’s visitation will be Thursday, October 18th, from 4-8pm and Friday, October 19th, from 1pm-8pm with a 6:30pm Military Honors Ceremony and Eulogy Service at McCabe Funeral Home: Canton Chapel, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. Tony’s funeral will be Saturday, October 20th, 11am also at the McCabe Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Monday 10:30am in Holly, Michigan. Memorial Contributions may be made to VVA Chapter #267 located at 3001 S.
