Joanna Lilly Steele, age 97, passed away February 13, 2019.

She was the beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of John (Lynda), Judith, Shirley Grassflower, Barbara (Don) Phillips, Janice Schuelke and Joyce (Bill) Hyttinen. Proud grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 14. Dear sister of Phyllis McClain, Ellen Kramer and the late Richard (Dianne), late Robert and late Margaret Lilly Steele. 

Joanna taught 6th Grade English for many years in the Berkley school district and she loved playing Bridge.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Mrs. Steele will lie in state on Saturday, February 16th at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Fabian Catholic Church, Farmington Hills. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
