Larry Davis

Larry Davis passed away March 15, 2019 at the age of 64. He was the devoted husband of Debbie for 40 years; cherished father of Lindsay (Mike) Lee and Courtney (Jon) McCue; loving grandfather of Addison, Avery and the late Logan; caring brother of Cindy (Bruce) Webb and the late Tom Davis; dear brother-in-law of June (Al) Pettyplace, Glenn (Brenda) Siwula and Gordon Siwula; and adored uncle of A.J. (Danielle), Sheila (Chris), Devin, Nichole, Michelle (Alex), Danielle, and Natalie. Larry was looking forward to the arrival of his newest grandson this spring.

Larry received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University where he met the love of his life, Debbie Siwula. He then went on to receive his master’s degree from Bowling Green State University. In 1978, Larry and Debbie were married at Divine Child Catholic Church in Dearborn. They welcomed Lindsay in 1984 and Courtney four years later. Larry retired after 30 years of dedicated service to General Motors. After retirement, he became active in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. John Neumann Parish in Canton, serving as Treasurer. Larry was known for putting the needs of others before his own. He was a proud father, very involved in his daughters’ sports and activities, always coaching and cheering them on. He loved being ‘up north’ enjoying boating, golf, and fly fishing. He loved to cook and found joy in feeding friends and family. Larry’s love for his wife and family will never be forgotten. He will be terribly missed.

Larry’s visitation will be Tuesday, March 19th, from 2 p.m.- 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service at McCabe Funeral Home – Canton Chapel, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. Larry will lie in state Wednesday, March 20th, from 10 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass 11 a.m. at St John Neumann Parish, 44800 Warren Rd, Canton.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are appreciated to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. John Neumann Parish as Larry was proud to be involved in an organization that helps those in need.
