Ernest Daniel Phillips, age 74 of Canton, passed away July 12, 2019.

Ernest was the loving father of Margaret Little (Dave Pickering), Annmarie Phillips, Pamela Deluca, and Mary Rose. Proud grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Kenneth Phillips and caring uncle of Daniel and Michael Phillips.

Ernest was born June 26, 1945 in Windsor, Ontario to Daniel and Frances Phillips. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Chemical Engineering degree. Ernest belongs to the Professional Environmental Engineering Society of Michigan. In his spare time, Ernest thoroughly enjoyed square dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Ernest’s Funeral Mass will be held before his visitation on Wednesday, July 17th, with an in state period at 10:30 a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Rd, Canton. His visitation will continue Wednesday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. Memorial contributions in Ernest’s name are appreciated to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
