Bob Mullins, Sr. passed away November 20, 2020 at the age of 66.

He was the loving father of April (Mike) Richmond and Bob Jr. ‘BJ’ (Kelly) Mullins; devoted grandfather of Zac (Maddy) Richmond and William Confere; cherished husband of Shirley and step-father of Donnie (Tina) Honeycutt and Lucy (Shawn) Stamp; dear brother of Scott (Shannon) and Steve (Ann) and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved fur baby, Roxy.

Bobby Gene was born on December 21, 1953 in Clintwood, Virginia to William and Bonnie Mullins. The second born of six, he moved to Michigan in the late 60’s with his family. Bob attended Belleville High School and joined the United States Army, serving his country for four years. He returned to Michigan working as a skilled machinist for many years before discovering his true passion for truck driving.

Bob was blessed with two children, April and Bob Jr. who in turn, gave him his grandchildren Zac and William.  Bob loved to cook and BBQ; he was especially famous for his ribs. He was very social and funny, always wanting to make his friends and loved ones laugh and enjoy themselves. Bob ‘told it like it is’ but was kind and generous, always ready to help others however he could. When Bob hosted, you knew all were welcome to join in on the food and good times. His charisma and unselfish love will be missed by his beloved family and friends.

Bob’s family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29th from 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home: Canton Chapel, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. A Private Memorial Service will be held. Bob will be laid to rest in Clintwood, Virginia this Spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for Memorial Contributions to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. (Payable to: Moslem Transportation Fund: Southfield, MI). 

Keeping everyone's safety in mind, guests are asked to wear a mask and maintain proper distance while attending services.
