Dear friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Durai S. Duraiswamy. He passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness, and will always be deeply loved by all who knew him.

Durai was born on July 21, 1963 and raised in Coimbatore, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from IIT Madras in 1994. His love for engineering would continue through his career as a Technical Fellow for Hanon Systems.

He dedicated his life to family and was known for valuing hard work and intellectual curiosity. Above all, Durai had a passion for his children's dreams and education. He continually supported and encouraged them, and believed in their limitless potential. His dedication to their success and happiness will always be remembered and cherished.

He was a loving spouse to Gayathri Devi, devoted parent to Kirthi (Christopher) and Swetha, and will always be remembered as a loyal friend to many. He is also survived by his mother and sister, Ponnammal and Santhamani. He is predeceased by his father, Subbanna Gounder.

Durai will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on through the lives of those he touched. Visitation for Dr. Duraiswamy will be held on Monday, February 6th, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Eulogy Service at 11:00 a.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. All who wish to pay their respects are welcome to attend.
