My deepest condolences to Phil Nye's entire family.I ran into about a year ago, at the Shelby studios> I wa their taping a show with the Gaylords, who Phil knew. He talked of the days as a DJ in Ohio, when he use to play their records. A Great person and a wonderful broadcaster

am one of those who benefited from working with Phil during the early years of my career when we were at WLUK in the 80s. I really don't know what the last 30 years would have been like if he hadn't given me a very challenging opportunity when I was still starting out. I often think about how fortunate I was to have crossed paths with him.. Condolences to Phil's family. I know he will be greatly missed.

My heart goes out to all with the passing of Phil. I had the great pleasure of working with him in New Orleans. I am very fortunate to enjoy his intelligence, great sense of humor and all that he brought to our station when he came. God Speed, Phil. You will be missed by So Many.
