I Remember...

I remember Mike from my first job. Instant dislike he didn't like me and I didn't like him. Fast forward many years. Now my second job and found out he came to my new job. Now with both of us a little older and wiser, we became friends.

48 years of the nicest most generous and courageous man I have ever known. He made me go out and play at recess. I was in a new school. He pulled my arm and said let's go play. Boy did we play. Love him.

Mike is one of the finest people I have ever had the honor to call friend. His kindness, generosity, and ultimately, his bravery, in living life and all the challenges it brings, is an inspiration for us all. Mike, My heart will be heavy for a while but the memories of times spent with you brings a smile to my face. I love you brother.

I think I was about 10 years old when he and Kim started dating. I thought he was THE coolest guy in the world. Still do. When I had troubles in life, he would wrap his arms around me and tell me everything would be ok. And I believed him because I knew that he would do whatever he could to MAKE it ok. That's just the kind of man he was. I have seen him laugh until tears were rolling down his face more times than I can count. He almost always kicked my ass in music trivia. He rarely, if ever, said a bad word about anyone. Mike was like a second father to my daughters and he has always been a brother to me, not just a brother-in-law. I will never forget how excited he would get for our family soup nights! I've never seen ANYONE eat that much soup!!! R.I.P. Fox. I will miss you forever. And I promise to play 21 on the roulette wheel in your honor every time I go to the casino.

If I was asked to name the best man I've ever known, it would be my Uncle Mike. Hands down. He's been the rock of our family for as long as I can remember. He was always there for whatever I needed, whether it was a good laugh or heart-to-heart. (Plus he always had that pizza money!) Being around Uncle Mike made me feel at home and so loved. Grateful for all the amazing memories I have to remember him by. R.I.P. <3

Mike saw the good in everyone, even if he had to pull it out of them. He believed in giving second chances. He loved music and badass cars, like his Monte Carlo and Grand National. The only thing Mike loved more than driving those cars was watching his Kimberly behind the wheel. Actually, watching her do anything made him melt. He could back that Matco truck into the driveway on Joy Rd. with only inches to spare between the houses. I remember Michael coloring page after page with David, both of them sprawled out on the carpet. He did a family skit with Ashley that brought tears to our eyes and a sparkle to his. Young Michael outran a cop on 275. I'd give anything to hear him tell that story just one more time. Or do a Polka together at a family wedding. As if we knew what we were doing! Mom and Dad were crazy about Mike...ah heck, all of us Besneattes adored him. He was proud and humble at the same time. And so stinkin' funny. Michael, Uncle Mike, Moose Hoss, Michael T., Mike - You have always and will always be one of the most "norman perpons" I've ever loved. You worked hard, played harder and loved deeply - just one of the many lessons I learned from you. I became a better person because of you. I should probably end this with some appropriate Elvis lyrics but darn, I don't know any! Sue Nanasi

Mike was larger than life, and always will be in our eyes. He meant so much to so many and we can only imagine how may lives he has touched and changed. He made us laugh until we cried and sometimes we cried until we laughed. He always greeted us with his infectious smile and a, "Hey beautiful and hey brotha!" What an incredible gift he was to our family. Mom used to called him "that farm boy" with all the love in her heart! Mike certainly made our lives and this world a better place. He was one super.....duty guy! We always looked up to him and the beautiful relationship that he and Kim had. He will be missed beyond words. And, we're still going to crack up at all the "Mike-isms" he left us with! Cheers to one of the good guys!

I remember all our Matco trips and parties. We all became like family to each other. We all new we were going to have a fun time when Mike was there. It did not matter where we were, around a campfire, on the dance floor or just visiting. Our times together left us all with everlasting memories. Mike loved life. What a great example to set for his family and friend's. We will all miss him in the day's ahead. We loved him!
