Through the eyes of a ten-year-old childhood friend... Mrs. Simmons was my best friend's 'spunky' mother! She was the lady with the smile in all kinds of weather. She could play folk tunes on the piano and balance her body in a perfect headstand. She was a super host and always sharing the most... Whether it was lemonade, donuts, fondue, Brie or Philly cheese she had a fun surprise for everyone! Mr. & Mrs. Simmons were my parents best friends... They were the kind of parents which would try to bring out the best in everyone! They exemplified lifelong skills that showed us anything is possible. We would go biking, hiking, boating, fishing, tobogganing, ice skating, and vacationing together. We would sing and dance, play music and games, and laugh until we were almost out of breath and in tears of pure joy! Our parents shared their love & taught us to believe in our dreams! What a 'super duper' childhood...
