When Mom almost died when she was attacked by Phoebe, someone's pet goose! Mom was pulling us home from the beach in our little red wagon. Wearing wooden soled sandals, and Phoebe came in hot from the neighbors yard. Mom thought that the psychotic goose must be after her children. She started running down the middle of the street, hauling the wagon, and screaming her head off! This was the first time I ever remember seeing Mom do any cardiovascular activity, ever. Needless to say, the wooden soles sandals were not made for Track and Field. Of course, Phoebe easily caught up to Mom, and punished her by pecking her, on the butt! She had a bruise on her butt for a month!
