I Remember...

Dan and I were lifelong friends. We grew up together in Ferndale and had many fond memories of those years. Even though Dan moved to Oak Park and attended Ferndale H.S., he always maintained his friendships with all of us at St. James. He continued these relationship as we grew older and always was invited and attended the many St. James class reunions. In our later years we were frequent golf partners before his illness. We were buddies, teammates and most importantly good friends. Some of my most fondness memories of Dan came after he move to Oak Park. He became an accomplished boxer and would invite me over on Saturdays to display his talents and try to coach me. That did not happen. I would come home from those visits with a pretty red face. Then Mom would say, " you been Danny's House again." I will miss my dear and long time friend. Only wish we would have had more time together.

I remember numerous fun days on the golf course with Dan. We shared many entertaining times and loads of enjoyable stories on the course, restaurants and at our houses. We also had time for a pop or two. He was a fine man and a true gentleman at all times. RIP Dan.
