One memory I will cherish and hold dear to my heart happened recently. Andrea and I made a quick visit to Crystal Creek Assisted Living to visit Donna. I had no idea what to expect with her failing memory and limited vision. To my delighted surprise, she was fully alert and recognized me immediately. Mind you, it had been years since we saw each other! Donna reached out and took my hand and reminisced about old times. Although our visit was brief, Donna's sweet smile and appreciation for the visit will be a memory I will hold forever in my heart. To Donna's family my deepest sympathy. I will always remember her as "Mrs. Walker" as she was our other Mom growing up. A lady I've known and respected all of my life. Andrea, Tim and the rest of your family, your angel has gained her wings and my Mom was waiting for her with a cup of coffee in hand and a welcoming hug... With Love..
