I Remember...

I would like to share one of my fondest memories of my wonderful Uncle Lee. I lived in Florida for quite a few years, but would always visit my Mom, Vicki Mainville, at least once a year, (usually around Labor Day). Many of the visits were in the afternoon (on any given day), were I would do chores around the house for Mom. And it seemed like nearly every year, whom would come visit my Mom. None other than Uncle Lee. And it seems he always brought some sort of "Confectionary Goodie" to share. (Brother Bill was often at work, so it was just the 3 of us, Me, (Patrick Mainville), my Mom and Uncle Lee. And the 3 of us would sit in the living room, nibble on "the Goodies" with perhaps a cup of coffee. But the thing that I remember the most ... was the "stories" that the two of them would share. Actually, I don't really recall the actual "details" of any particular story. But what I "do" recall is the warmth and love the two had for each other. I normally would just sit in the background and listen as they shared stories of their youth. It was truly wonderful. I miss those visits, but am so thankful to have been a part of them. It was very special. And, of course, at the end of each visit, Uncle Lee wanted some "Tomatoes"!!! So the 3 of us would wonder out back to Mom's garden, with Uncle Lee often telling me which tomatoes to pick for him!! (And I gladly obliged :o) And, once again, I feel very Blessed to be a part of this wonderful Sinelli family. And may God Bless us all. Thoughts and prayers to each and everyone of us. I remember as a small girl, when my mother would take us to Detroit to visit Grandma & Grandpa Uncle Lee always gave us very wet sloppy kisses - he thought it was very funny. But he was a very loving uncle!

Your parents were so loving and kind. I remember when I was chasing Mark and Mark opened the screen door and ran in and I, unfortunately, did not open the door. Landed in the living room with a torn screen...My parents were so upset but yours never gave it a thought! (It was probably Mark's fault)
