NEFF, Herbert Eugene (“Gene”), age 82, February 12, 2013. Beloved husband of Christine. Dearest step father of Brenda Branoff, Keith Branoff (Maria), and Lorie Kirby (Richard). Father of Cheryl Neff Klein (James), and Marianne Neff. Loving grandfather of Thomas, Kellen, and Aidan Branoff and Olivia Kirby. Gene was a man of many careers and talents. He was a law enforcement officer in Corpus Christi, Texas, he played guitar for the Lawerence Welk orchestra, was an insurance adjuster, a general contractor for Neff Construction as well as an owner of several small businesses. He also was a member of the Free Masons and served as the Grand Master at the Masonic Temple in Detroit from 1977-1978.
