Carol E. Harvath (McCarrick) – At rest at the age of 80 on March 3, 2021.

Carol was born on May 3, 1940, in San Francisco to Charles and Marie McCarrick (Flanagan). She graduated from Mercy High School in 1958, and attended the University of San Francisco, from which she graduated with a degree in nursing in 1962. Carol met her future husband, Steve, a U.S. Marine from Muskegon. They married in 1962, and raised four children in West Bloomfield. Carol held various nursing positions and spent much of her career in an allergist clinic.

Carol was very proud of her Irish heritage and had the charm and witty sense of humor to match it. She was immensely cultured, creative, and adventurous. She was an avid artist, and she enjoyed classical music and the opera, theater, cooking, traveling, and skiing. A devoted mother, Carol was deeply involved in her children’s lives and instilled in them the values of kindness, humor, generosity, hard work, and education. She was a beautiful soul who greatly enjoyed the company of friends and family, and she will be dearly missed.

Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband Steve, and survived by her adoring sisters Marilyn (the late Bob) and Joan (Bob), and loving children Stephen, Joan, Brennan (Susan) and Douglas (Maribel), and grandchildren Katherine, Kelsey, Jaycee, Quinn, Matthew and Adela.
