Alexander Kargilis, age 89 of Southfield, passed away October 5, 2021.

Alexander was the beloved husband of Mary for 64 years. Loving father of Alexandra (Glenn) Harris, John (Kiki) Kargilis, and Elizabeth (Tad) Krear. Proud grandfather of Ari (Jess) and Levi Harris, Anastasia (CJ) Thompson, Samantha and Daniel Kargilis, Niki and Alex Krear and great-grandfather of Zoë and Adam Harris. Dear brother of the late George (Anita) Kargilis.

Visitation for Mr. Kargilis will be held on Sunday, October 10th, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. Trisagion Service and Military Honors at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. He will lie in state on Monday, October 11th, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Farmington Hills. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
