Dana M. Lutz

August 5, 1971 - January 14, 2022

Dana Michelle Lutz, age 50 of Northville, passed away January 14, 2022.

Dana was born in Limestone. Maine at Loring Air Force Base. She had the biggest most beautiful blue eyes that people commented on all of her life. She was a beautiful, intelligent child who loved to read. She was a dancer, swimmer, and high school track star. Dana brought so much joy to her mom, Connie and dad, Jim. She loved her younger sister Andrea and her younger brother Steve and shared a special relationship with them throughout her life. Dana graduated from The Ohio State University in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in History and a minor in Finance. She married the love of her life, Sam in 1996. She worked in the banking industry until becoming a full-time stay at home mom to four beautiful children (Julia, Jack, Josh, Jared). Her children were her greatest joy and she was their biggest fan! Dana and her family moved to Michigan in 2010, but she always remained a loyal Buckeye.

Dana was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many. Her beautiful smile, friendly warm personality, and caring nature touched so many. Her strength, courage, and grace throughout her illness is something we admire. She put on the bravest face for her children and loved ones. She was smart, always researching treatments and planning for her future, yet remained present in the moment. She enjoyed all time spent with her family and friends. She was a true fighter and endured a terrible disease with bravery and strength that will always be remembered. She was also funny, compassionate, empathetic, and beautiful.

She was always there for her children and supported her family at all times. She loved to watch movies, go on walks, attend sporting events, and take vacations with her family. Her favorite vacations were beach vacations with her whole family and she loved long walks on the beach by the water. Dana will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Her family will hold parts of her in their hearts forever.

Dana was the beloved wife of Sam for 25 wonderful years. Amazing mom to Julia, Jack, Josh and Jared. Cherished daughter of Jim and Connie Cannady. Dear sister of Andrea (Greg) Hill and aunt to Madison, Kayleigh and Bryce; and sister of Steve Cannady and aunt to Noah, Emma and Ruby. Also survived by her mother-in-law Bonnie; brother-in-law Bob and his children Annalise and Kennedi; sister-in-law Nikki and her children Morgan and Maggi; and her brother-in-law Ed. Dana was predeceased by her grandparents Barney and Emma Krimmel, and Fred and Helen Cannady
