Mr. Saiyad was my 4th grade teacher. Other students and I would compete for the most nicknames (I was in 2nd place). I remember a kid found a hundred dollar bill in one of the school textbooks in his class. The last time I saw Mr. Saiyad was when I was working at Noodles & Co. in Livonia and he came in to eat. I couldn't wait to get off of work and tell my friend who I had seen that day. Rest peacefully Mr. Saiyad.

The best teacher I've ever known. He loved his job and encouraged my sons to read and learn about the world....because of Kal these now men are about the most interesting people you will meet. A rare gem!

Mr. Saiyad was my 6th grade teacher in 81-82. He was one of my favorite teachers. He loved his students and had high expectations for us. He made school fun and was a great influence on my life.

Oh so many memories growing up with my Uncle Kal. I'll always remember him akways calling me little guy haha bringing me a toy or a beautiful doll when he would visit and honking my nose and saying he took it from me. I remember him telling me over and over again about Dancing with the stars tv show whenever I saw him more recently and switch Contestants that he wanted to win. He also loved the show lost continued to tell me how it was such a good show I had to watch it. He would tell me about how important taking vitamins were and switch ones I needed to take.He was the sweetest man ever. He loves seeing my kids when he did visit and would also so Generously handing out cookies to them or whatever he had to offer. He will be very missed by me and my family

I knew Kal at Farmington School. One of the kindest, most dedicated, loving, caring men I have known. His students loved him for all of the best reasons.
