Joseph Richard Pytel, age 80, passed away November 5, 2017. Loving husband of Geraldine for 61 years. Devoted father of Joseph, Ronald (Ann), Karen, James (Jacquelynn), Gail (Michael) Kornatowski and the late Catherine and late Robert (Renee). Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Casey), Sarah (Michael), Megan, Charlotte (Chris), Ashley (Chris), Joseph, Brent, Michael, Robert, James (Emily), Zackary, Jacob, and the late Michael Jr. Caring great grandfather of Olivia, Jenna, and Aubree. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Catherine and in-laws Julia and Jake. Dear brother of Patricia (late Ray), and predeceased by Pauline (John), Lottie, and Virginia (Ted). Brother-in-law of Lillian (late Tom), Don (Sandra), and predeceased by Frank (Sylvia). He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Joe was a proud American and loyal Detroit Lions fan. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 40 years of dedication. Joe was also a 50-year lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Visitation Friday 1pm-8pm with a 7pm Rosary Service at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. In state Saturday 10am until time of Funeral Mass 11am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4300 Walnut Lake Rd, West Bloomfield Township. Interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
