Yildiz Hazneci (our Rock) passed away peacefully February 8, 2018 in Florida. She was born in Gumushane, Turkey to Sami & Saime Zarbun and soon after moved to Istanbul with her family. Growing up with two brothers and four sisters, life was busy & fun in the Zarbun household.
Mom graduated from Uskudar American Prep School in Turkey. Married our father, Nami Hazneci, and moved to Ann Arbor, MI. After attending classes at University of Michigan with dad, getting acquainted and acclimated to American life, they started their family.

Mom’s biggest joy was her family. She was quietly proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandson.

Yildiz is survived by her loving husband Nami Hazneci of 67 years; beloved son Dr. Sina Hazneci (Catharine); beloved daughter Rena Carleton (Bukk); beloved granddaughters Serra Vinograd (Alexander) and Alara Cerikcioglu (Justin); great grandson Mattias Vinograd; brothers Erdinç (Elice) and Tanju (Aygun); sister Ileri (Nazmi); and nephews and nieces

Family will hold Visitation Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 9am-11am at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 Twelve Mile Road Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Private Services for funeral ceremony to follow.

Sunday at 12pm, family will be hosting a luncheon for friends (TBD)
