Moore, Joseph A. “Joe” age 94 of Canton, formerly of Ann Arbor, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on May 4, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years; Rita, in 2015.

Mr. Moore is survived by his daughter; Michele (George) Rodriguez of Canton.  Grandchildren; Thomas Rodriguez, Shaun (Sheila) Rodriguez, Aaron Thomas and Katherine (Matthew) Klenczar.  Seven Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are brothers; George and William (Marilyn) Moore and Long time special friend; Betty Wilmot.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother; Victor, and sisters; Winifred Cavanaugh and Mary Taylor.

Mr. Moore served our Country during World War II with the United States Army.  He retired from the University of Michigan Transportation Safety and Research Institute.  Joe and Rita enjoyed attending University of Michigan Football games and were faithful fans of the Detroit Tigers.  He was an avid fisherman, fond of reading, appreciated American History and loved spending time with his family.

Visitation 4:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the McCabe Funeral Home (851 N. Canton Center Road, Canton, Michigan) with a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM.   Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Thursday at the Old St. Patrick Catholic Church (5671 Whitmore Lake Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan) with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Interment and Military Honors at Old St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
