Mark Daniel Purcell ‘Danny’ passed away October 2, 2018 at the age of 84.

He was the loving husband of Helen for 64 years; devoted father of Karen (Michael) Johnson, Mark (Tammy) and Michael Purcell; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Emily) Johnson, Christopher (Jackie) Johnson, Jeremy Purcell, and Jenna Purcell; caring great grandfather of Adelyn Johnson; and dear brother of Joann Beamish, Marjorie (John) Walz, and the late John and late Carmen Purcell.

Mark was born in New York to parents Carmen and Margaret Purcell. He graduated from Cooley High School after his family moved to Detroit in 1951. In 1954, Mark married his high school sweetheart, Helen. He later retired from Ford Motor Company after 45 years of dedication.

His Visitation will be Thursday, October 4th, from 4pm-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills. He will lie in state Friday, October 5th, at 10:30am until the time of Funeral Mass 11am at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 3700 Commerce Road, Orchard Lake. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in his name.
