'Tom’ George T. Waite passed away May 25, 2019 at the age of 84. He was the loving husband of  Marjorie, passed away in 2016, for 57 years; cherished father of Cindy (Keith) Erickson, Kim (Rob) Adamczyk, J.T. (Lori) Waite, and Dan Waite; devoted grandfather of John W. (Jaclyn) Waite, Kara Waite, Heidi (Timothy) Northuis, Jill, Katie, and Nicole Adamczyk, and Alexander, Rachael, and Thomas Erickson; caring great grandfather of Trent, Lauren, Ava, Zayne, and one on the way; dear brother of William (late Joanne) Waite, David (Kay) Waite, Susan Hull, the late Robert (late Joanne) and late Richard Waite and brother-in-law of Kathie (late Brian) Troshynski and Robert (Elaine) Murray.

Tom retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 years of dedication. He enjoyed spending time ‘up north’ on the lake in West Branch and outdoors hunting and being active. Tom kept entertained by watching his favorite Detroit sports teams; the Tigers, Red Wings, and Lions. Tom will be missed dearly as his favorite times were spent being with family and loved ones.

Tom’s visitation will be Wednesday, May 29th, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service at McCabe Funeral Home – Canton Chapel, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. He will lie In State Thursday, May 30th, at 10 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas a'Becket Catholic Church, 555 S. Lilley Rd. Canton. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the charity of your choice in his name.
