Laura Amy Nicholls, age 43 of Canton, died suddenly on August 19, 2019.

Laura graduated from North Farmington High School and from Michigan State University, where she earned her degree in nursing. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a semester in Guanajuato, Mexico, studying public health. Before beginning her career, Laura spent six months in London, England, working and seeing the sights. She was then hired to work in the urology department at Oakwood Hospital but quickly started a job in the neonatal intensive care unit, where she worked for 19 years. Recently, she was training for a new position at Beaumont Hospital, Taylor in the psychiatric unit. She enjoyed traveling, reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

Laura was the beloved daughter of Ralph and Arlene Nicholls. Dear sister of Lisa (Paul) Aiuto and Linda (Christopher) Schrier. Much loved aunt of Nathan and Audrey Schrier and Liam and Oliver Aiuto. She also leaves behind her cherished cat, Boo.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Her memorial service will take place on Friday, August 23, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
