Myra E. Prihoda, of Farmington Hills, passed away September 17, 2019 at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Prihoda for 54 years; devoted mother of John and Mary (David Arnt); cherished grandmother of Tyler, Malik Jr., Isabella, and Hailey; and dear sister of Dwight (Akemi) Johnson and the late Alayne (late Joe ) Hernadi.

Myra was born on August 19, 1938 in Detroit to Albert and Vivian Johnson. She graduated from McKenzie High School and went onto become an executive secretary for Beaumont Hospital. She loved being up at her family cottage on Houghton Lake and going for long boat rides on their pontoon boat. Myra was a life-time member of St. Fabian Catholic Church. She will be missed very much by Jerry, relatives, and friends.

Mrs. Prihoda's family will receive friends on Sunday, September 22nd, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. She will lie in state Monday, September 23rd, at 10 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
