Richard A. Kar, age 85 of Roscommon and formerly of Plymouth, passed away October 8, 2019.

To Rick, everyone was a friend. Always engaging and entertaining, he had a contagious personality and loved to make people laugh. As a professional talker, he looked forward to conversing with family, friends and strangers alike. As much fun as Rick had in everyday life, he worked just as hard. He spent most of his career working for Ford Motor Company, putting in plenty of long days. With all his dedication and hard work, however, Rick was able to enjoy his life as he deserved. He made wonderful memories traveling, particularly to the Caribbean or anywhere out West. He liked to hunt, fish and play golf, with trips to the casino added in between. And never shy about being the first one out on the floor, everyone knew how much Rick loved to dance. Rick will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially by his loving wife, children and grandchildren.  

Rick was the beloved husband of Susan for 58 years. Loving dad of Michael (Kelly) and Michelle (Nick) Meloche. Proud grandfather of Angelina Kar, Madison Meloche and Harrison Meloche. Dear brother of the late Gregory (Dorothy).

Visitation for Rick will be held on Sunday, October 13th, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. His funeral service will take place on Monday, October 14th, 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial donations in Rick’s name are appreciated to Munson Healthcare, Grayling Hospital.
