Gregory Maryanski

February 8, 1946 - October 21, 2020

Gregory Mark Maryanski, age 74 of Canton, passed away October 21,2020.
 
Gregory Maryanski was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 8, 1946 to the late George and Aurelia Maryanski.  Following graduation from Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, MI, Greg attended Wayne State University where he was a member of the Phi Delta Sigma fraternity. Graduating with a bachelor's degree in business from Wayne State in 1974, Greg entered into the workforce at Ford Motor Company where he enjoyed a successful 26 year career in automotive manufacturing operations.  Gregory married Colleen Gibbons in 1985 and together they raised four children. Greg retired from Ford Motor Company as a Production Superintendent in 2000, but continued working as a consultant in the automotive industry, filling his spare time as a golf course Ranger at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Canton, and the Arcadia Bluffs Golf Course in Arcadia, Michigan.  
 
Greg was an avid sports enthusianst and active golfer, especially enjoying college and professional football and basketball.  When he wasn't working, you could find him in northern Michigan, boating, golfing, and enjoying the northern Michigan lifestyle with Colleen at the summer home he built and loved. Above all else, his greatest joy was being “Pop Greg" to his four cherished grandchildren.
 
Greg was the beloved husband of Colleen for almost 35 years. Loving father of Amy (Eric) Varton, Jacob (Vanessa) Champlin, Michael (Michelle) Maryanski, and David (Janelle) Maryanski. Proud grandfather of Madeline, Austin, Riley, and Autumn. Dear brother of Christine (James) Orrock, Marilyn (William) Peters, and Mark (Sheryl) Maryanski. Greg also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. 
 
A Memorial visitation for Mr. Maryanski will be held on Friday, October 30th, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 North Canton Center Road, Canton. A Memorial gathering will take place Saturday, October 31st, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of his Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Road, Canton.
 
Memorial contributions in Mr. Maryanski’s name are appreciated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
