Mary E. Miller

July 12, 1924 - November 3, 2021

Mary E. Miller, age 97 of Novi, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2021.

Mary was born on July 12, 1924, in Detroit to John and Palmira Glorio who immigrated from Italy. She grew up in a house full of brothers filled with joy, love and lots of Italian food! Early on Mary had a career as secretary working at large local companies like Reynolds Metals and American Motors. Mary had a very active social life and met her husband Raymond, the love of her life, at one of those ski club events she and Ray loved to attend. They married and were together until his passing in 2003. Mary was a proud Mother of her son Randy and cherished her role as a homemaker. Mary enjoyed traveling to Florida with Ray and spending winters in the Sunshine.

Mary kept active and had many friends. She loved get-togethers of all kinds. She also looked forward to playing a good game of cards, Pinochle in the early days and her more recent favorite, Rummikub, with her family and friends at Fox Run. Mary was proud of her Italian heritage and enjoyed going out to dinner or sharing her favorites foods including one of her all-time favorites - Olga’s Kitchen. Mary’s faith was also very important to her, and she enjoyed the time she spent volunteering at church, especially when she was a faithful parishioner of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.

Always exuding positivity, Mary brought a smile with her everywhere she went. Everyone who met her, loved her! She treasured her close relationships with her family - Words are hard to describe her love for them all!  With family and friends being at the center of Mary’s universe throughout her entire life, she has left countless memories to cherish for those who knew and loved her so dearly.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Raymond. Loving mother of Randy (Karen) Miller. Proud grandmother of Allie (Nick) Beltz, Morgan, and Samantha. Great-grandmother of Parker Raymond Beltz. Mary was aunt to many dear nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her five brothers Elmo (Joan), Perio (Mary), Bobby, Edo (Liz), and John (Barb).
