Jim Presley Orr, age 60 of Ypsilanti, passed away April 22, 2022.

Jim was born on May 22nd,1961 to George and Betty Orr, the 8th of 9 siblings. Jim was raised in Plymouth and lived in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He attended Plymouth-Canton Schools, graduating from Canton High School in 1981. Jim went on to become a welder and machinist. His successful career building large scale production lines took him not only throughout the Metro area, but to other parts of the world as well. Here at home, he enjoyed tinkering with tools in any capacity. Jim loved his motorcycle, but he was an avid bicyclist. It was a lifelong hobby he most enjoyed sharing with his lifelong, dearest and best friend, Marty Dodes.

In addition to many good friends and neighbors, Jim is survived by his siblings; Connie (the late Gene) Adkins, Mark Steven (Diane) Orr, Paul David Orr, Jeff Orr, Karen (Tom) Shelton, Vickie (the late Paul) Pavloff and Lisa (Joe) Saliga; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Gordwin, Dallas Todd Orr, Troy (Margie) Henry, Mattie Henry, Alaina Thiessen, Michelle Morrison, Jim (Kristen) Shelton, Dan (Bailey) Shelton, Melissa (Dave) Suppnick, Devanie (Nic) Haroney, Christofer Pavloff and Olivia (Chris) Smith and many great nieces and nephews and relatives. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Orr, and his brother, Dallas Wayne Orr.

A niche-side committal service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth on May 21st at 1:30 P.M.
