Ronald F. Covietz, age 86 of West Bloomfield, passed away November 27th, 2022. He was born on October 17th, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Lila Covietz. As a member of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights, Ronald was a skilled carpenter and construction foreman who dedicated many hardworking years to his craft. His pride extended beyond his career and into his home, which he endlessly improved upon. From splitting his own field rocks for a stone facade, to installing his own wood siding on the upper exterior of the house, to numerous interior improvements, Ron did it all. He also held a keen interest in collecting Native American artifacts, especially arrowheads, and remained active in his avocation through membership in state and regional archeological societies nearly all his adult life. Ultimately, Ron was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. Well respected and deeply loved, Ron will be missed by his dear family and friends. Ronald was the beloved husband of Terry for 63 years. Loving father of Laurice (the late Frank) Covietz-Freel, Roger (Pamela), Kevin (Sharon), Kristopher, and Ryan (Elona). Proud grandfather of 4, and great-grandfather of 6. Dear brother of the late Roland. Visitation for Ronald will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with his Funeral Service beginning at 7 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. His burial will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Wixom Cemetery, on the corner of Maple and Wixom Roads in Wixom, Michigan.
