Lucille Emily Stran passed away January 12, 2023 at the age of 87. She was the loving wife of the late James (2010); devoted mother of Linda (James) Fiumara, Jeff (Jennifer), Scott (Mary), and Chris (Stacie); and cherished grandmother of Matthew, Clayton, Rachel, Morgan, Nolan, Jonathan, Kathryn, Robert, and Ashley. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Krystek and her siblings, Eugene and Rosemary. Lucille was born on December 9, 1935 in Braddock, Pennsylvania. At the age of 6, she moved to Struthers, Ohio where she later attended high school, graduating in 1953. She began working as a paralegal and married James Stran on August 10, 1963. Their marriage was blessed with four children; Linda, Jeff, Scott, and Chris. Lucille was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Parish. She was a member of the church choir and kept her devout faith throughout her life. Lucille enjoyed her time as a stay-at-home mother, actively involved in her children’s activities and sporting events. Lucille liked bowling, cooking, gardening, and hosting her family during the holidays. She loved the beach, and the Outer Banks was one of her favorite places to visit. Grandchildren gave Lucille her greatest joy and the time spent with them will be forever treasured. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Stran will be held Saturday, January 28, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a Memorial Gathering beforehand at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Parish, 7345 Westview Dr, Boardman, OH 44512. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Angels for Animals Veterinary Care and Shelter, 4750 West South Range Rd., Canfield, OH 44406 in Mrs. Stran’s name.Lucille Stran
