Geraldine T. Trumpy, age 92, passed away March 27, 2023. She was born on February 16, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Dorothy Ryan.

Gerry was a graduate of St. Theresa High School, Class of 1949 and married her beloved John “Jack” Trumpy on July 17, 1954 in St. Theresa Catholic Church in Detroit. The couple made their home in Howell, where they were longtime and active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. For over 20 years, Gerry worked as an administrative assistant to the vice president for the National Bank of Detroit. Upon her retirement, she devoted much of her time caring for her parents. She enjoyed gardening and keeping a beautiful landscape surrounding her home. She loved to read and especially looked forward to her days at the family cottage on Lake Gogebic. Above all else, Gerry cherished her family and her faith. With her daily prayer and devotion, Gerry was joyfully welcomed into the house of the Lord.  

Gerry was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Trumpy. Loving sister of Patricia (the late Adrian) Renaud, Marilyn Ryan, Kathy Ryan, and the late Betty Ryan. Sister-in-law of the late Lola Rynerson, the late Tom (Jeanne) Trumpy, Bill (Mae) Trumpy and the late Dick (Evelyn) Trumpy. Dear friend of Dr. Jeffrey Zaks. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Gerry will be held on Friday, March 31st, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Fabian Catholic Church, 32200 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. She will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
