John McBeth passed away at his home in Brighton, Michigan, he was 71 years old. John was born in Ord, Nebraska, the first born son of John Paul McBeth Sr. (1928-2017) and Irma Beatrice McBeth (Nelson) (1929 - living). John was the first of ten children born to his parents and lived in Nebraska and Alabama as a small child and while still young his family moved to St. Clair Shores, Michigan. John remained in Michigan for the rest of his life. John worked for DTE (formerly Detroit Edison) as a truck mechanic, Linesman and Cable Splicer Specialist Leader for over 40 years. John was a man of many talents and interests. He could flawlessly golf, fix a car while listening to classical music, play league hockey, read a classic novel in a days' time, while still finding time to share a beer and a laugh with his friends. He was generous and thoughtful and loved to garden, bake and ride motorcycles. Although often frustrated, he was a Detroit sports fan through and through, and he especially enjoyed watching hockey and the Detroit Red Wings. John is lovingly survived by his Mother Irma B. McBeth, sister Marge Moutray and her family (husband Keaven, children Jacqueline Stryzek (Brian and Amelia), Nathan Moutray), sister Cathie McBeth, sister Jeanne Zelazny (Mark), brother Bob McBeth (wife Sarah, children Sarah Volpe (Mitchell) and Samantha McBeth), sister Sue McBeth, brother Joe McBeth (wife Linda and children Courtney McBeth and Erin McBeth), brother Mike McBeth and sister Carolyn Etzel (husband Brian and children Margaux Etzel and John Etzel). John will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.John McBeth, Jr.
