Patricia Lute passed away November 22, 2023 at the age of 73. She was the loving wife of Gary for 46 years; devoted mother of Tracy; cherished sister of Mary (Bill) Tokar, Ruth (Phil) Thor, and Cathy (Rob) Kazmeirczak; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ruth Karl.

Patricia was born on April 22, 1950 to Fred and Ruth Karl. She was the eldest of four daughters, growing up in Royal Oak. Patti enjoyed being active in her younger years, throwing the javelin and shotput as well as playing in a wheelchair basketball league. Following graduation, Patti went onto attend Eastern Michigan University.

After years of love and friendship, Patti married Gary Lute and the couple started their family with the birth of their daughter, Tracy. They settled in Canton and began their journey as a family of three. Patti started working for Oakland County, dedicating her time and became very active in the coalition for curb cutting and handicap accessibility in the state of Michigan.

Patti enjoyed reading novels and loved the Christmas season and getting together with her family. She was close to her sisters and kept a strong bond as they made their way through their lives. Patti was strong in faith and admirable. She was an exceptional wife and mother. Patti’s love and kindness will be forever cherished by her family and friends.

Mrs. Lute’s family will receive friends on Friday, December 1st, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home: Canton Chapel, 851 N. Canton Center Road, Canton. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions to a Charity of Your Choice in Patti’s name is most appreciated.
