Kathleen “Kathy” Ann (Pellar) Inman, 76, of Canton died Friday, August 2, 2024 at her home, in the care of Angela Hospice. She was born March 22, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the only child of Peter and Anna (Kozey) Pellar. She was the loving wife of Dennis for 35 years. They were married on January 14, 1989. She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Juliana (Julien) Darrah and cherished grandma to Annalise, Caroline, Grace, and Vivienne Darrah. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy was a 1965 graduate of Pershing High School in Detroit. She attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. Kathy worked for over 20 years as a Legal Secretary for the Court of Appeals of Michigan. After retiring, she was called back to work at the Michigan Supreme Court in Detroit, which she did for an additional year.

Kathy attended St. Thomas a’ Becket parish for over 25 years after converting to the catholic faith. She and Dennis spent many years doing marriage counseling for interfaith couples. 

Kathy and Dennis spent 13 years as “snow birds” in their RV, spending winters in Florida and most recently Arizona, which was their favorite destination. She enjoyed scrap-booking, making cards, and other crafts. She loved spending time with and shopping for her four granddaughters. Kathy was an exceptional gift-giver. Her gifts were thoughtful, personal, and always wrapped beautifully. Up until the end of her life when her dementia took most of her verbal communication from her, she still gave the sweetest smiles and longest hugs to show her love to those she cared about.

Memorial gathering for Mrs. Inman will be held on Thursday, August 8th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Knights of Columbus Prayer Service at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton. Her Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 9th, at 10:30 a.m., with gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas a’Becket Catholic Church, 555 S. Lilley Rd, Canton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Inman’s name can be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Detroit or Alzheimer’s Association.
