Louis "Kelly" Kelemen, III

September 12, 1953 - August 15, 2024

Louis J. “Kelly” Kelemen, III, age 70 of Westland, passed away August 15, 2024. He was born September 12, 1953 in Detroit to Louis and Ethel Kelemen.

Proudly serving our country, Kelly was honorably discharged as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps. His dedication and strong work ethic carried over to his career as a master mechanic. After devoting 40 years to Ford Motor Company, Kelly retired but never really stopped working. His knowledge and passion for work continued as he taught classes at the William D. Ford Career-Technical Center.

Besides his work, which took up most of his time, Kelly did enjoy a relaxing day from time to time. He was a big Detroit Tigers fan and looked forward to going to home games. He was an avid gun collector, liked fishing, and spending time with his beloved dog, Gypsy. He was always working on cars, and more recently, learned and became very good at airbrushing.

Strong-willed and decisive in his convictions, Kelly was still the most loyal and dependable man that you would ever meet. He cared deeply for what he believed in and was always willing to have a conversation. His Lord and his faith were very important to him. He was always willing to help in any capacity he could at St. Mary Catholic Church, where he was an active parishioner. Kelly will truly be missed by so many.

Kelly is survived by his son Louis J. Kelemen, IV, and daughter Tiffany (Rory) Fleck; grandson Remington Fleck; sister Nancy (Dennis) Meyers and brother Larry Kelemen.

Visitation for Kelly will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of his prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 851 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton.

Memorial donations in Kelly's name can be made to St. Mary Parish, Wayne
