Carol Ann Lisk, age 90 of Farmington Hills, passed away August 18, 2024.

Carol was known for her sociable nature and her love of hosting joyous gatherings. Her home was a frequent setting for lively parties where champagne flowed freely, and the sound of Frank Sinatra’s classics could often be heard as she danced with grace and delight.

Carol's passion for music extended beyond the dance floor; she was also a talented pianist who shared her gift with family and friends. Her love for life was equally evident in her beautiful garden, where she took immense pleasure in tending to her flowers and savoring their sweet fragrances. A keen observer of nature, Carol enjoyed watching the birds, deer, and other wildlife that graced her backyard.

Travel was another of Carol’s great loves, with Aruba holding a special place in her heart as a favorite destination. Above all, Carol cherished the time spent with her family, who were the center of her life and the source of her greatest joy.

Carol's warmth, vibrant spirit, and boundless energy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Her family and friends will remember her fondly and carry her memory with them always.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Clarence A. Lisk for 46 years. Loving mother of Steve (the late Kari), Tommy, and Karen (Rich) Butkowski. Dear grandmother of Billy Lisk, Ashly (Steven) Wells, and the late Jennifer Butkowski. Proud great-grandmother of Dylan Pauley, James Lisk, Sadie, Logan, and Stella Wells. Dearest sister of Richard (the late Shirley) Pretzlaff, the late Paul Pretzlaff, and the late Elaine (the late Bill) Desing. Carol also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carol’s family will receive guests on Sunday, August 25th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. She will be laid to rest in Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carol’s name may be directed to the Michigan Humane Society.
