Richard Cliff Hausman passed away September 15, 2024 at the age of 59.

Rick grew up in greater Cincinnati, Ohio where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the scout life was a big part of his summers as they welcomed new groups of families to Camp Friedlander in Loveland as Scout Master hosts.

Rick loved to spend time with his mom following and enjoying the music of the Van Dells, a band local to Cincinnati. He enjoyed working at the family-owned grocery market in Amelia, learning the business from his father and uncle.

Rick graduated from Anderson High School and went onto obtain his certification from the Ohio Firefighter Academy. He worked as a firefighter for the North Union Twp. Fire Department earning the Firefighter of the Year Award, the Service Valor Award for the North Union Twp Fire Department, and the Heroism Medal for the American Legion of Clermont County, Ohio.

Following his firefighting career, Rick became a Director of Inventory at Technicolor supporting Warner, Disney and EA Sports in the entertainment industry. He found himself well respected by the studios for his dedication to their product content and releases.

Cincinnati held a very special place in his heart including Skyline, LaRosa’s and Montgomery Inn. 

Rick had a love for all sports including baseball, football, and hockey.  Rick adored attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, playing hot wheels and tea parties on his visits to Cincinnati. Rick proudly attended football games, school concerts and education fairs with his nieces and nephew.  

Rick’s love for Lionel trains brought his family all together for the ‘disappearing railroad’ in the family garage.

Rick always had a warmth to him with a glass half-full outlook on life. He is and will be deeply missed.

Rick was the loving life partner of Roxanne Starr; cherished father of James (Stephanie) Hausman; devoted grandfather of Owen, Charleston, and Cameron Hausman; caring brother of Michael Hausman; dearest nephew of Daniel (Joyce) Hausman and cherished son of the late Clifford (late Judith) Hausman

A Celebration of Life service for Rick will be held in the future.
