Walter J. Jablonski, age 93 of Farmington Hills, passed away August 13, 2025.

Walter proudly celebrated his Polish heritage, and served his country with honor as a Navy veteran. He was a beloved principal at Forest Elementary, where his leadership touched countless lives. A passionate volunteer, he lent his time and heart to global VOSH missions, bringing vision and care to those in need. Alongside his childhood, life-long friends, Walt worked to keep the doors of St. Cunegunda open, a testament to his deep faith and community spirit. Above all, Walt loved to tell stories, especially those from his Navy days. Whether you were hearing them for the first or the fiftieth time, he told them with the same spark, and you couldn’t help but listen.

Walter was the beloved husband of the late Delphine. Loving father to Christopher, Ken (Tamara), Colette (Robert) Mahanes, Coleen (Maurice) Grosso, Tom (Samantha), and Nancy (Sam). He was Dziadziu to 16 grandkids: M. Joe (Erin), T.J. (Kelly), Holly (Nicolai), Kyle, Hannah (Michael), Ian, Marcus, Luke, Spencer (Payten), Mitchell, Alexander, Adele, Charlie, Natalie, Chase, and Stella, and great-grandfather to Thea.

A private Funeral Mass will be held for Mr. Jablonski, along with a private committal service, as he is laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Walter's name are appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.
