I miss you terribly daddy. You were the place I went to for comfort. You had the best hug. It was my safe place. I'm lost without you here. I will think of you 1000 times a day and talk to you. I will be strong like you and make you proud. Your grandbabies will grow up hearing stories of their Poppy. Seeing pictures and remember our fun times. They will grow up strong and smart like you. I know now you are in heaven and free of pain. Rest dad. I love you. I will see you in heaven.

Dave Riley, You probably have no idea how amazing you were because although humble, you were a real class act. I'm happy to have had you as such an important person in my life. Not only did you love my mother and make her happier than I can ever remember, you accepted me as one of your own and I feel honored to have such a great role model and father figure. Whenever I had a problem, you had an answer. You offered great advice and always a helping hand (and you built IKEA furniture better than anyone!) You were shoulder to lean on. I am grateful to have known you and so very blessed. You have left a lasting impression on me and you will forever be in my heart. As hard as it is here without you, I am relieved you are now at peace. I love you Dave Riley, you will be missed.

Dave was one of the nicest guys I ever met. He was so sweet and giving. I am so sorry. I send prayers and sincere wishes to all of his family and friends.

Theres an old saying that only the good die young. When I was told of Dave's passing I know this to be true. I will miss you but am sure we will meet again.
