I hope Dave rests well and reconnects with his family. I hope he finds a proper stage and a warm, supportive audience to delight with his humor. Dave and I first met in 1933 at Edison School. The funeral home was on Five Mile and, memory says, Archdale. I lived on Biltmore just a couple of houses north of Five Mile. In those days, Dave was bigger than I, but I eventually grew to 275 lbs. at 5' 11". Our paths crossed numerous times through the years. Whenever we were standing together chatting with friends in a different venue, I usually enjoyed announcing that Dave and I had known each since he was bigger than I was. Again, I wish that he may rest in peace.

Dave was a friend and customer of mine for 20 years. All around good guy and good American.

Kevin, We are so sorry to hear of Dave's passing, but we know that he and his love are dancing together again. God bless
