Condolence

Dear Nielson family, We are profoundly sorry to hear of the passing of Steven. What a proud and dedicated father he was. The youth of our world and the world in general, needs more like him. We were acquainted with Steve through hockey. Many times he would bring Rowan (Goalie Rowan as my son fondly refers to him) to watch Chase play hockey, especially this past summer when Chase was home from British Columbia and playing locally for fun. Steve would sit with Rowan and watch the game, cheer with Rowan and if I were there we would chat. He would inquire about Chase and how he was doing and along with Rowan, fill me in on what Rowan was doing. At the end of each game he would wait patiently while Rowan chatted with the hockey boys he came to watch and then join in himself. Actions ALWAYS speak louder than words and his actions spoke volumes. They spoke to what a truly delightful, dedicated and wonderful man, hockey guy and father he was. Chase is truly saddened that he is away and cannot be there for Rowan and to say his goodbyes. He so wishes that he were home so that he could attend. We send our sincerest condolences, many prayers and much love to all of you. Know that Steven will always be remembered by us. Lynn & Chase Danol
