I was sad to hear of Mel's passing. While I had only limited dealings with him in Ford Motor Company in the 1970s when he was Chief Engineer of Advanced Engine Engineering, I found him to be a wonderful and likable man. My best wishes go out to his family.

Gwen, You and the entire family are in our prayers. We loved Mell and we do love you. May you hear the comforting voice of Jesus and feel His embrace during this time that we celebrate Mell's life and mourn the deep pain of his departure.
There are little people on this earth that when they pass you can hope to live up to their very last moments. I personally would be honored with half the life of papa. A true blessed soul that I hold dearly.
I first crossed paths with this incredible gentleman in 1981 and he will remain in my heart forever. Rest easy my friend, thanks for the memories, love you xx
