I Remember...

I remember my siblings and I going over the Akouri household when we were younger. And I remember Auntie would always feed us (with great food of course) and given treats when we were over. She had them hidden all the time too from her own kids, at least that's what she used to say to me. She embodied the definition of what a mom is. She was one of the most kindest, most loving and generous people I have ever met and am thankful that I was able to meet a person like her. She is definitely one of the Greats and will truly be missed. Prayers to the Akouri family. With Love, Bechara T.

I will miss this sweet and loving woman and her warm hugs. She always acted like she was happy to see you. No matter what she was going through she always had a smile. Grace under pressure. I love you Aunt Sylvia, miss you already, hugs.

a wonderful friend, with whom I worked for many years at Kenbrook School in Farmington! I enjoyed having her children in my music classes: John, Lyla, Jimmy, Michael. Such a wonderful family. Sylvia was always so kind to everyone, such a lovely person, good with children and people in general! I used to live right near St. Fabian Church and enjoyed running into Sylvia and some or all of the Akouri Family often at Mass. I remember seeing her name in the "Pray for the sick" column many years ago. Recently, when John found me on Facebook, I was looking at the family photos and saw one of Sylvia at the Easter dinner table having a great time with her family. May she rest in peace. Love and prayers to all the Akouri Family.
