I Remember...

Grandpa I remember you pushing me on the rope swing at your house in Kalamazoo, the rides on the tractor, the walks threw the trails you made, the walking sticks we made, and the card games we played. Always remember I love you with all my heart and soul

Kerri Friske

Bud was such a wise and kind man! He was on hand when the lot for our home in Comstock was excavated, giving great advice! He and Helencontinued to be wonderful friends and neighbors. He later suggested which bonds to purchase for our daughter's higher education. We took delight in making their house look lived in at Christmas by decorating it and keeping it snow-free. It was always a thrill to see them drive in on the return from Arizona! When we had a power outage, Bud told the Consumers service person to climb up to the transformer and throw the switch! He then wrote to the company to initiate power changes in the neighborhood so outages were less frequent. He was so friendly to the young children around him so they thought of him as a loving grandfather figure. He will be remembered also for the upkeep on the home he and Helen shared. Always puttering , planting, transplanting. Many trees started in Bud's backyard! My numerous Hostas came from the yard in a bucket he brought over! Bud, we loved you and are so happy that you were part of our lives!!!
